The room offered a decent city view, and the indoor pool area had a great setup for unwinding after a day of exploring. The location was convenient, close to popular spots like Bo-Kaap and Greenmarket, making it easy for a tourist to get around.
Cleaning didn’t meet expectations during the stay. the room felt grubby, and the throw pillows looked like they hadn't been washed. Opting for a city view didn’t help much, as it resulted in looking directly at the street below rather than anything scenic, and the pillows were uncomfortably hard, making it tough to get a good night's sleep. reports of shady characters around the vicinity made it feel less safe for evening strolls.

My experience at Sunsquare Cape Town City Bowl was disappointing for several reasons. First, the lack of staff at reception was quite frustrating. it often felt like no one was around to assist with any inquiries. I found that the breakfast offerings were average at best, with a very limited selection of bread. the noise from parties every night made it nearly impossible to get a good night's sleep, adding to my overall dissatisfaction.

great food but hard pillows
The rooftop bar had a fantastic vibe, and the appetizers were some of the best I’ve ever had. The seafood dinner exceeded my expectations and showcased the chef's talent quite well. The rooms were modern and spacious, with big windows offering a lovely city view at night.
The pillows in the room were uncomfortably hard, which affected my sleep quality.

Family with children, a decent place
The food was incredible we had the best appetizers at the rooftop bar and the seafood was excellent you just can’t go wrong. The staff was friendly and young, they really made you feel welcome even when it was busy and crowded.
It wasn’t exactly cheap but still okay for what you get.

I stayed in a Standard Queen Room for 4 nights, and the bed was super comfy. I loved the rain shower head. it felt amazing after a long day. The room was clean and fresh, perfect for relaxing. But, there were hard pillows, which made it a bit tough to sleep well some nights. The layout was nice, and the modern decor added a cool vibe!
